Part-Time Training

Dance Addiction offers a number of part-time options available for those looking to pursue certificate training and further opportunities for their dance training. Part-Time training can be completed either in conjunction with your schooling or as part of a transition toward Full-Time training. 

Students who are enrolled at other dancing studios but wanting to pursue part-time training are able to remain at their studio whilst completing certificate courses at Dance Addiction. 

Certificate I in Dance CUA10113

​Certificate I in Dance is run part-time and can be completed whilst remaining in- school and is open to Year 8 students and above. The course allows learners to develop basic skills and knowledge to prepare for work in the live performance industry. The course covers a range of basic topics for students wanting to begin their dance training and allows them to chose styles that meet their preferences.

Certificate II in Dance CUA20113

Certificate II in Dance is run part-time (one day per week) and can be completed whilst remaining in-school and is open to Year 9 students and above. The units of competency from Certificate II attained by students in years 10, 11 or 12 can contribute towards the achievement of a West Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). This offers a great opportunity for students to attain the qualification whilst completing their studies at school.

Certificate III in Dance CUA30113
Certificate III in Dance is a part-time course that runs on a school term basis with two delivery methods available. The course can be done over a one year period (two days per week) or over a two year period (one day per week). The units are bundled to provide the student with an all-round knowledge of performing arts with a speciality in their chosen major.

 

Students will have the opportunity to train in current commercial trends and experience a wide field of performance and practical opportunities. Paying particular attention to all styles of dancing including jazz, hip hop, commercial, tap, classical, lyrical, contemporary and choreographic aspects; this course is aimed at those students wanting to develop their skills and knowledge in preparation for full time training. The units of competency from Certificate III attained by students in years 10, 11or 12 can contribute towards the achievement of a West Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). This offers a great opportunity for students to attain the qualification whilst completing their studies at school.

Certificate IV in Dance CUA40113
 

Certificate IV in dance has two delivery methods, it can be completed full-time over one year or part-time (two days per week) over two years. Both options align with a school term basis over a period of thirty eight weeks for Years 11 & 12 students and can be completed whilst enrolled in High School.

 

The units are bundled to provide the student with an all-round knowledge of performing arts with a speciality in their chosen major. This course includes a strong, all round training with a variety of local and interstate trainers.

 

Students will have the opportunity to train in current commercial trends and experience a wide field of performance and practical opportunities
