Our teachers at Dance Addiction are all experienced with a vast majority qualified through the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing and are passionate about teaching children to express themselves through the art of dance.

Rosemary Rice

Co-Owner/Director

Rose has owned and operated her own dancing school, Rosemary Fox Dance Academy, for over 40 years. In 2015 Rose, in partnership with long-time student Jess and daughter Tennille formed Dance Addiction. 

 

Having trained and danced in various forms of dancing including Jazz, Tap, Classical, Acrobatics and Ballroom Rose has almost 60 years of experience in the dancing industry. Having been a long-time member of the C.S.T.D and holding a full teachers diploma, Rose has taught thousands of students the art of dance and looks forward to working with Jess and Tennille at Dance Addiction.

Tennille MacPherson

Director

Tennille has been dancing for over 30 years, having only recently stopped dancing on the arrival of her third child in 2014. Tennille is trained in Jazz, Tap, Classical and Acrobatics and has been teaching for almost 20 years. Having completed her training with the C.S.T.D Tennille holds a full teachers diploma. Tennille teaches various forms of dance to all ages and skill levels.

Sammy Oakes

Commercial Jazz Teacher

Starting her professional career when she was just 16 years of age, Sammy has danced professionally for 11 years. In the outset of her career she spent 4 years performing in Perth performing, promoting and teaching.

Moving on to work overseas, she spent 4 years working for Princess Cruises out of the US. Performing on their largest ships and in a wide variety of fantastic shows created by choreographers such as Liz Emperio, Danny Teeson and the likes.

Having returned to Perth after travelling the world, her next adventure is giving back to the Perth dance community and sharing her knowledge, experience and passion for dance.

Up and coming performing artist Tobias is emerging onto the Perth scene in a big way. At just 19, Tobias is already an internationally recognised performer, having showcased at the 2015 International Presentation of Performers in LA, USA and on home turf, was the inaugural winner of the Senior Kelmscott Idol in 2014 and Michael Johns Award For Songwriting, 2017. Tobias is a singer, songwriter, dancer and produces his own music entirely. Having studied extensively at the Classic Sounds School of Music and at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Tobias has performed at various festivals and concerts around Perth and is currently represented by Perth agencies FilmBites and KJ Entertainment. With heavy musical influences from Michael Jackson and current rap artists such as Childish Gambino, Tobias aims to break down the barriers of these musical worlds and combine them, challenging todayʼs perception of rap artists. Tobias prides himself on bringing musicality, integrity and high energy to all his performances, leaving a lasting impression.
